جن (“Jinn”) is a ritualistic and deeply atmospheric release from Mulla, where black metal dissolves into invocation, shadow, and metaphysical tension. The album explores the unseen — entities that linger beyond perception, neither wholly divine nor entirely damned.
Droning textures, restrained black metal riffing, and slow, deliberate rhythms form a trance-like foundation, while vocals surface as murmurs, chants, or distant proclamations rather than conventional performance. The atmosphere is thick and inward-facing, emphasizing dread, stillness, and spiritual unease over aggression or speed.
Rather than chaos, جن thrives on control and repetition. It feels ceremonial and oppressive, as if sound itself is being used to open thresholds rather than entertain. Black metal here functions as ritual medium — a conduit for fear, reverence, and confrontation with what should remain unseen.
